    Description
  • In this role, the FIU Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the employees within the assigned group, provides direction, sets goals, and ensures department goals are attained.
  • Ensure the duties of the FIU Specialists are performed as expected.
  • Along with the FIU Director of Operations, establish positive and effective working relationships with other FIU and external department leaders.
  • Maintain proficiency in all aspects of BSA/AML compliance; attend FIU training as assigned by the Chief BSA Officer.
  • Adhere to all provisions of South State Bank policies and procedures, including the confidentiality policy, code of ethics and BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BSA/AML statutes and regulations in general.
  • Ability to identify unusual and/or suspicious activity and understand when it needs to be escalated within the FIU department
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements of CDD, CIP, IDV and UBO to ensure compliance under the regulations as they pertain to the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
