    Radiance Technologies is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) systems engineer to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Technical Center, Research Directorate, Space and IAMD Technologies Division (SITD) office in Huntsville, AL. The RF systems engineer will support efforts to design and develop Army science and technology (S&T) and research and development (R&D) programs that deliver RF capabilities to the Warfighter in the field. This position requires a talented RF systems engineer that could work with a multi-disciplined team to perform RF engineering analysis to guide all phases of the design process, including requirement development, design, and test and evaluation. The engineer will be required to assist the Government with requirements definition, analysis, modeling and simulation (M&S), hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), simulations, development, integration activities, and demonstrations and tests. The RF systems engineer will assist with scheduling, planning, budgeting, and managing system engineering activities and development for hardware and software products. In addition, the RF systems engineer will assist in the development and maintenance of program execution and advocacy briefings to internal and external organizations.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide RF subject matter expertise.
    • Perform analysis and M&S to establish and verify RF system concepts.
    • Establish HWIL simulations as necessary to validate equipment functionality and system concepts.
    • Derive and maintain system technical requirements.
    • Participate and provide technical guidance during the system design activities.
    • Provide oversight and/or perform complex integration activities as necessary.
    • Assist with the development and execution of system tests and demonstrations.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules provided to the project manager.
    • Develop and maintain program execution and advocacy briefings to internal and external organizations.
    • Define and document cost and schedule implications for proposed design changes.
    • Lead the development and maintenance of any periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) program status reports and briefings to keep management informed of project progress.
    • Advise and recommend mitigation efforts for financial and management risks that may affect project costs, and schedules.
    • Exercise independent and professional judgment under moderate supervision in solving cost and scheduling problems.
    Required Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
    • Proficient with technical engineering management activities.
    • Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
    Required Experience
    • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting RF-related projects.
    • Proficient with RF theory, system engineering, and system development.
    Desired Qualifications
    • Master's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
    • U.S. citizenship with an active Top-Secret clearance.
