- Troubleshoot circuits using router commands, loops, alarms and errors, and other troubleshooting technologies and techniques.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to monitor, track, and resolve issues.
- Create and update tickets utilizing Remedy.
- Troubleshoot networking technologies on a live, global network.
- Deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of networking and has a broad understanding of other related specialty areas
- High school diploma/GED
- At least 3 years of overall work experience required, of which 2 years of experience must be in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications
- Must possess a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, and/or SSCP)
- Experience with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications with one or more of the following devices: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, and/or performance management
- Experience with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications with one or more of the following devices: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, and/or Optical Switching
- General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP
- Ability to support a 24/7/365 shift work operation
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance
- At least 3 years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field
