    Job Summary

    CenterPoint Energy is looking for an Associate CEHE Electric Engineer to join our Advanced Digital Systems Team, located in Houston, TX.

    You will have the ability to: engineering technical support associated with the design, analysis, construction, and operations of CenterPoint Energy's overhead and underground transmission, substation and distribution systems.

    Essential Functions
    • Prepares engineering and construction packages, including maps, material bills, drawings and work orders.
    • Monitors project schedules and material deliveries.
    • Plans and develops the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment for the electric power system.
    • Make informed decisions, follow procedures, and comply with policies based on the knowledge of the work and the services provided by CenterPoint Energy.
    • Interpret and apply applicable codes and standards (i.e. National Electric Safety Code, National Electric Code, etc.).
    • Uses appropriate software and platforms for Engineering Applications.


    Education Description
    • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.


    Experience
    • No prior experience is required.
