    POSITION SUMMARY
    • Gain experience in functional areas of Accounting including a primary responsibility for Accounts Payable.
    • Analyze and initiate continuous improvement activities in Accounting department.
    • Provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.
    • Support the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Obtain, scan, enter, and distribute invoices from multiple incoming sources.
    • Check statements and verify invoices have been entered.
    • Run payments weekly.
    • Submit total dollar amount of checks and Automated Clearing House, and copy of check register to Senior Staff Accountant.
    • Assist Purchasing Department in resolving supplier calls.
    • Record activity, prepare statements, and print Community Fund checks for the CFO to mail.
    • Responsible for filing and organizing all invoices that are paid after the check run.
    • Prepare bank reconciliation for flexible spending account and community fund account.
    • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time - quite often on short notice - by the Controller.
    Position Requirements

    GENERAL SKILLS NEEDED

    Accounting, Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, PC Proficiency, Productivity, Verbal Communication, General Math Skills

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
    • 3 years experience in Accounts Payable duties.
    • Must be skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data, with a proven track record of speed and accuracy.
    • Must be skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal technical training in Accounting and/or a Business-related Associates Degree

    8:00 AM-4:30 PM
