    Great Client is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team. Individual must be an expert at implementing process improvement. Lean manufacturing and process improvement will be important as the Quality Manager will run continuous improvements events. Candidates MUST have strong leadership skills and understanding in metallurgical practices.

    responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement strategies to ensure high-quality construction materials.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and customer standards while enhancing customer satisfaction and reducing manufacturing costs.

  • Use tools like A3's, Hoshin Plans, and Ishikawa diagrams to improve operations and monitor quality metrics.

  • Manage all aspects of quality, including assurance systems, inspections, certifications, and manufacturing processes.

  • Coordinate kaizen events to make immediate and lasting improvements.

  • Collaborate with product development to establish quality requirements and manufacturing plans.

  • Build and motivate a strong team of quality professionals.

  • Develop plans for succession with HR.

  • Enhance process control with APQP methodologies.

  • Working with New Product Development and Innovation (NPD&I) production to determine quality requirements for Qualifications:

  • strong leadership, including the ability of developing a team, supervising, evaluating, training, and motivating employees, envisioning, and articulating the strategy, and passionately owning and driving the team towards achievement.

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple facets management, operations, sale/marketing, technical, engineering personnel in a large matrix organization.

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience facilitating and managing lean manufacturing programs.

  • Demonstrated ability in providing leadership, achieving results, driving change, and getting organizational support.

  • strong command and understanding in metallurgical practices in thermal-mechanical processing and heat

  • Treatment/pyrometry, material laboratory testing, nondestructive testing, statistical process control, FMEA's, Control Plans, PPAP's, system and special process audits etc.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in structured and systematic problem solving, using factual, data driven, logical approaches.

  • strong command of quality systems and leading change through strategic direction, as well as applicable customer

  • specifications/requirements quality specifications, AS/EN/JISQ 9100, and ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Systems and

  • Nadcap special processes requirements.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in metallurgy, technology, engineering or related disciplines, advanced technical degree

  • ASQ, CQA, CQE, CQM, 6-sigma certifications desirable.
