    Background to the role:

    The Global Data and Analytics team, which unifies CG/CPC, Wealth at Work and Private Bank Analytics, and Digital analytics, will collaborate with the digital delivery, marketing, technology, and product/business teams, to scale this data driven strategy. The team will drive a best-in-class digital analytical sophistication that ingests real-time data, and engages prospective and current customers in a contextual, personalized manner powered by advanced analytics insights. The team will also drive the development and execution of the data strategy for the wealth business.

    The 'Global Head of Data and Analytics" will be a key member of the COO leadership team and will play an integral role in delivering top-tier analytical sophistication and a comprehensive data strategy for the wealth business. This role will report to the Wealth COO and will interact directly with the entire Wealth Leadership Team to drive business growth, enhance client experience, and optimize operational efficiency within our Wealth Management function.

    Responsibilities:
    • Data Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, leveraging data as a strategic asset to drive innovation and competitive advantage in Wealth Management.
    • Data Analytics and Insights: Drive the development of advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, data visualization, and data-driven insights generation, to empower Wealth Management teams with actionable insights for strategic decision-making and client servicing.
    • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Wealth Management, IT, Risk Management, and Compliance, to ensure alignment of data and AI initiatives with business goals and priorities, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
    • Information Governance: Establish robust data and content governance frameworks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, safeguarding client data privacy and maintaining data integrity and security.
    • Enterprise Collaboration - Align on and foster cross-enterprise investment such as common data capabilities and data platforms for re-use and enterprise scale data and AI. Enable technology organization to identify the need for new infrastructure/tools to enable target architecture.
    • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external data and AI vendors, technology partners, and service providers, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and delivering value-added solutions to support Wealth Management objectives.
    • Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of data product managers, data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the Data and AI function.
    Knowledge and experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's/ MBA preferred
    • 15+ years of relevant work experience
    • Advanced analytics competency, with expertise in leading change through sophisticated data driven insights - 10+ years in leadership roles requiring in-depth knowledge of data science.
    • Track record of understanding and engagement with advancement in data science field, including success in adoption of increasingly sophisticated tools and technologies to accelerate sophistication of analytics insights.
    • Prior experience at a top tier bank / wealth management organization, with a focus on strategy, data & analytics
    • Prior experience in / familiarity with financial metrics, including capital and returns
    • Prior experience in leading and motivating teams, including partnering across virtual teams
    • Understanding of IT architecture and data models and familiarity with high-volume data environments preferred
    Skill requirements:
    • Initiative and ability to structure and drive projects from idea to completion are a must
    • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
    • Strong people management / team development skills, leading teams across multiple geographies
    • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
