    Job Description:

    We seek a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at a detention center. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to detainees, managing various medical conditions, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all health needs are met promptly and professionally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct health assessments and screenings for detainees upon admission and as needed.

    Provide emergency and routine medical care, following established protocols and procedures.

    Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed.

    Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans.

    Document all medical interventions and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.

    Educate detainees on health maintenance and disease prevention.

    Respond to health emergencies within the facility, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency medical services when necessary.

    Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in correctional healthcare.

    Qualifications:

    Current RN license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain).

    A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

    Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse range of medical conditions.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

    Commitment to providing patient-centered care with respect for the dignity and rights of detainees.

    Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

    CPR/BLS/ACLS certification required
