    **SUMMARY:**

    The Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining the warehouse and lot, assisting with purchasing of inventory, assigning material to technicians and contractors trucks, receiving inventory, redeployment of used inventory, and physical security over inventory. Ensures inventory procedures are followed to guarantee minimal adjustments to inventory due to errors.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

    Maintains controls over physical security of all warehouses and related inventory.

    + Keeps warehouse locked and secured, assists employees and contractors with obtaining material when needed.

    + Checks out inventory daily to trucks, utilizing inventory check out sheet.

    + Scans serial number or asset tag for each item checked out to trucks.

    + Transfers inventory back into main warehouse when returned from the field.

    Assists with ordering stock and non-stock items.

    + Follows purchase order procedures for all ordering.

    + Monitors inventory to determine low stock; orders replenishment as necessary, using automated systems to their fullest extent.

    + Determines the Company is receiving the best possible price for all items, obtaining multiple quotes for as many purchases as possible (including 3 quotes for high volume or high dollar items).

    + Maintains good working relationship with all suppliers; communicates with supervisor regarding any supplier issues that may arise.

    + Determines proper account coding for purchases; determines if items should be capitalized or expensed.

    Receives inventory items in the warehouse.

    + Enters purchase receipt into system and scans signed receipt in timely.

    + When items are received, scan serial number or asset tag for each item.

    + Identifies discrepancies between packing slip and what is received, coordinating with supervisor for the appropriate follow-up.

    Responsible for following procedures related to damaged inventory.

    + Ensures equipment is tested by appropriate personnel to determine defaults in box.

    + For items determined to have defaults, determines if a warranty is valid on equipment.

    + For items with a valid warranty, coordinate with other staff members to follow appropriate RMA procedures, ship items and follow up on replacements, and maintain proper documentation.

    + For items without a valid warranty, sends proper documentation to Senior Accounting Specialist and Billing Specialist for removal from plant and billing.

    Performs random inventory counts of technician and contractor trucks.

    Performs quarterly inventory counts for high dollar and/or commonly used items; assists with performing annual inventory counts for all items.

    Reviews warehouse for obsolete items periodically, informs supervisor to attempt to find a buyer for items. Scraps items that cannot be sold.

    Tests and cleans equipment returned from customer disconnects before redeployment.

    Maintains the warehouse, lot, and office space in a safe, clean and organized manner.

    **JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:**

    **Education, Experience, Training, and Licenses:**

    High School diploma.

    Forklift certification preferred.

    PC Skills requires word processing and email skills, along with the ability to review and analyze reports in company systems. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to touch-type at 40+ WPM and use a 10-key required.

    Ability to operate office equipment, including personal computers, phone systems, and software applications.

    Knowledge of intermediate level mathematics required, including the ability to add, subtract, and read and produce inventory and material usage reports.
