    Description
    This is PART TIME ONLY
    • Executes banquet event orders as instructed by the managers and/or captains
    • Maintain control while coordinating service to several tables simultaneously throughout the event.
    • Monitor assigned areas throughout the event for coordinated removal of soiled glassware and dishes.
    • Assist staff in function room setup, execution of the event, and end-of-shift clean up.
    • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to professionally represent the venue and the company to all guests and staff, while achieving 100% guest satisfaction.
    • Must have working knowledge of all menu items served on any function menu.
    • Keep banquet captains and managers updated on any staff, facility, or guest concerns.
    • Must clock in/sign in and be ready to work at scheduled shift time.
    • Assist with the cleaning and stocking of appropriate work areas.
    • Must attend pre-shift and post-shift meetings.
    • Must be able to honor guest requests and ensure total guest satisfaction to the best of their ability.
    • Must be able to relate and approach guests in a warm, welcoming demeanor.
    • Must help maintain a positive morale in the work environment and discourage idle, disruptive gossip.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow employees, and management.
    • Must be able to terminate alcohol consumption when guests appear intoxicated.
    • Must be able to I.D. alcohol consumers that appear under the age of 30.
    • Must be able to follow directions from the Director of Banquets.
    • Must be able to provide written/spoken direction regarding setup assignments to all staff.
    • Be aware of all details & specifics of the event (including all menu items, special needs of the guests, hot points of clients & additional rental information).
    • Must be able to attend training sessions and meetings as scheduled by management.
    • Must communicate with management if unable to work a specific shift and find a replacement for said shift.
    • Responsible for confirming their schedule each week.
    • The Director of Banquets must approve trading or switching of shifts with another Banquet Server.
    • While on the service floor: NO gum chewing, eating or drinking, leaning on walls or bars, sitting, dancing, cell phones or headphones.
    • Perform any additional tasks, duties, or responsibilities assigned to this position.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High school graduate or equivalent required.
    • Requires the ability to communicate with guests in English.
    • Minimum 1 year of Banquet Waitstaff experience preferred.
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • Requires full mobility for entire duration of shift, including walking and standing for a period of up to eight (8) hours.
    • Must be able to safely grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move items weighing up to 50lbs.
    • Must be able to bend and reach.
