We are pleased to share that we have a career opportunity for a Logistics & Warehouse Manager as a member of the Blue Bird Parts & Services Team. This position presents a unique opportunity to satisfy the demands of growth and shape the future of the Ohio Parts Distribution Center.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Blue Bird Warehouse, this role is responsible for directing the efficient and cost-effective operation of our warehouse and logistics activities. You will ensure the smooth and compliant flow of goods from suppliers to customers, overseeing inventory management, supply chain operations, and team leadership. This role is responsible for spearheading strategic changes to our operations, while ensuring that our day-to-day operations remain uninterrupted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing stock levels to meet demand without overstocking.
• Continuously improve and streamline warehouse operations and logistics processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure all operations comply with legal regulations and safety standards, reducing the risk of injury and legal challenges.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations and high levels of service.
• Oversee budgeting, warehouse cost analysis, and financial reporting to keep costs under control without compromising quality and efficiency.
• Realign current operations for future growth and support the implementation of a new ERP system
• Perform other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Familiar with Infor/LN Warehouse Management System (WMS); able to work within company computer programs/systems
• Must possess excellent planning and organization skills
• Excellent leadership skills with strong verbal and written communication ability
• Competent user of MS Office products
• Able to work with little supervision; work within bound of departmental budget
• Able to meet production schedule and maintain quality standards

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant business field
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in warehouse management & logistics
• Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in operational setting
• Strong background in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) strategies and Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Fast-paced warehousing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise
• Must be able to work with diverse workforce
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods on solid surfaces in a warehouse setting
• Ability to work follow-up on special situation, during weekend, evenings and holidays as needed
