    Purpose Statement

    Provide technical and mechanical support in the application and design of products/ solutions to Andritz customers and other internal Andritz departments such as Territory Sales Managers, Sales Managers, Industry Managers, Global Application and Product Managers, Proposal Support Team, Engineering, Field Service, and Aftermarket Services.

    Focus market area is North America.
    Job Responsibilities & Tasks

    Technical interface with and Andritz customers, Territory Sales Managers, and Sales Managers providing support as needed including travel to customer meetings and installations as needed.

    Assure proper product selection based on Request for Quotations (RFQ) / customer requirements analysis in close cooperation with Territory Sales Managers, Sales Managers and Proposal Support Team.

    Understand the scope of supply and make equipment / service recommendations and provide commercial offer.
    Maintain and develop our image of technical competence and leadership with Andritz customers.
    Strong technical selling skills based on process and product knowledge.
    General willingness and drive to continuously learn and improve application, process, and product knowledge.
    Maintain and update application, process, and product knowledge that can be accessed by other authorized Andritz employees.

    Active participation in the Regional Sales and Global Product / Market Segmentation Teams to provide ideas and customer feedback for developing successful product strategy and product developments.

    With the support of Marketing, write / present articles for various publications, trade shows and industry conferences.
    Education, professional experience and qualification preferred/required
    B.S.M.E. preferred or Associate degree and/or equivalent of five years experience in a similar area related to work assignment.
    Paper mill experience preferred.
    Ability to communicate and interface with personnel across various departments.
    Computer literacy is required including MS Office tools.
    Willing and able to travel by private & public transportation to jobsite locations. Approximately 25% travel time.
    Ability to read and understand mechanical and process flow drawings.
    Ability to make decisions such as selecting equipment offering based on analysis of similar / historical documentation.
    Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the attention to detail.
    Strong mechanical aptitude.
    Represent company interests when dealing with customers and customer contacts.
    Physical and Mental Qualifications
    Position performed in an office or field environment. Frequent visits to mills and manufacturing facilities, required.


    Environment:
    Varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, heavy duty magnets and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals


    Physical conditions required:
    Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, ascend/descend stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs.

    Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment.
