Minimal Qualifications/Experience/
Skills
Minimum of a High school diploma or GED required; degree from a vocational school will be a plus. At least two years of maintenance experience performing basic and complex maintenance tasks. Must have-three years minimum of supervisory/lead experience. Utilize problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Demonstrate qualities like empathy, support, and concern. Be able to develop their new employees based on their strengths. Experienced in health/safety preventive measures is preferred. Excellent communication; verbal, written and interpersonal skills; must be professional and positive. Valid Driver's License and willing to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
Position
Summary
The supervisor's overall role is to communicate organizational needs, oversee employees' performance, provide guidance, support, identify development needs, and manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and the organization so that each is successful.
Manage the daily activities facility in accordance agency's expectation and federal regulations. Performs all assigned duties in accordance withCCHC's policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. included in the Occupational Health and Safety Act is the duty to take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances to protect the agency workers, clients, from theft and harm and
vandalism.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to
Provide oversight and supervision to the operation/facility staff (maintenance/security)
Ensures facility staff adheres with the agency's code of ethics and compliance with federal/ state regulations (OSHA, etc.)
Participate on internal risk/quality/operational meeting to report on key performance indicators
Participate in weekly supervisor with supervisor to provide updates on facility/safety plans and corrective steps.
Work closely with immediate supervisor on adherence with compliance guidelines and required reporting
Provide coaching, guidance and support to assigned staff
Serve as a safety coach and participate/track in organizing safety drills in compliance with federal guidelines.
Assist the Director of maintenance and facility to minimize cost leakage and frivolous expenses.
Maintenance Supervisory Duties
Periodically inspects and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation plumbing, etc.)
Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, plumbing work, flooring work and upkeep, electrical repairs and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
Order, monitor inventory of materials and equipment for repairs.
Work closely with Clinical Operation Managers in weekly meetings to assess potential repairs and upgrades at all facilities.
Work closely with Housing Specialist to assess supportive housing units' repairs.
Coordination of facility plans repair work (orders using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
Participate/oversee coordination of projects (e.g., renovations).
Generate purchase orders and repair assessment/manage workflows/timelines for completion of repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
Identify vendors for specialized services in accordance with procurement guidelines and agency's guidelines for preferred MBE's.
Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
Adherence to agency's seasonal schedule for facility upkeep for external/internal maintenance.
Tracking of supply inventory and replenishment to minimize waste or loss.
Security Supervisory Duties
Manage the organization's security and surveillance staff. Create strategies depending on the organization's needs, coordinate personnel and monitor equipment. They're ultimately responsible for resolving any incidents that occur and implementing preventative measures.
Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff.
Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
Implement protocols to guarantee the security of a facility, its contents, and the people that occupy it.Ensures staff adhere with the agencies with standard operating procedures
Participate in internal meetings & trainings as required.
Serve as an ambassador of safety.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Generate weekly progress reports to operations manager as instructed.
Other duties as required
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
