    Beals Associates is a respected and well-established civil engineering and planning firm that provides services to the real estate development industry. Theyre seeking an experienced civil engineer to work as a Project Manager in their Boston office. The job responsibilities include site planning, engineering, design, and permitting of residential, commercial, and industrial developments in Massachusetts and the Northeast.

    As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting projects of all sizes, from concept to completion. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor the staff, and support business development by delivering quality work.

    The Groton Hill Music Center, Groton, MA A 126,000 square foot facility including 35 studio classrooms, 2 performance halls, and multi-use space located on a 110-acre agriculture haven.

    Thermo-Fisher Scientific - A 290,000 sq ft life sciences manufacturing facility. Beals Associates was retained as the civil engineer and tasked with designing a site compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Site design, planning, grading and drainage, utility, and stormwater.
    • Be responsible for preparing and reviewing project approaches, scopes, and fees.
    • Assist with the development of strategic initiatives for growth throughout New England and beyond.
    • Advocate for clients at planning board meetings and through community engagement.
    • The role involves managing the scope, schedule, and budget for projects.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • BS or graduate degree in Civil Engineering,
    • With approximately 8 or more years of experience in Civil Engineering/Site Design
    • Experience navigating complex zoning and permitting requirements.
    • Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Adept at project management and oversight and the ability to mentor junior staff.
    • Ability to be a trusted client advocate.
