    Job Title: Electrician Journeyman Lead

    Clearance: Secret Clearance required

    Education Requirements: High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Experience: Minimum of four (5) years related experience

    Location: Oaullum, Niger

    Job Description:
    We are seeking an experienced Electrician Journeyman Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Secret Clearance, be a US National, and possess a high school diploma/GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Electrician Journeyman Lead should have four (4) to seven (7) years of related experience.

    Responsibilities:
    • Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer's recommendations
    • Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes
    • Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
    • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender
    • Pull wiring through conduit, assisted by electrician helper
    • Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using knife or pliers, twisting, or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps per accepted codes and standards
    • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, using hand tools
    • Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools
    • Connecting power cables and ground leads to equipment and other electrical utilization equipment such as motors, HVAC units, etc.
    • Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope
    • Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
    • May repair faulty equipment or systems
    • May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS)
    Requirements:
    • Must have a valid US Passport
    • Journeyman license/certificate or equivalent is required
    • Possess all of the journey level skills, having verifiable minimum experience and/or holds an accepted certification, license, and/or degree
    • Usually considered the most experienced, highest skilled professional in their respective field
    • May provide supervision for a specific crew
    • Requires little or no supervision
