- Identify and pursue new municipal and government sales opportunities within assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with city, county, and public works officials, procurement officers, and other decision-makers.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal development, pricing, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Prepare and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and bid solicitations in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and legal teams to develop accurate service proposals and ensure contract compliance.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company service offerings, operational capabilities, and competitive landscape.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and market trends using CRM tools.
- Represent the company at municipal meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and community events.
- Partner with customer service and operations teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of sales experience in the waste management, recycling, environmental services, or municipal contracting sector required
- Strong understanding of municipal procurement and bidding processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret and develop contract language and pricing models.
- Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory. Performance Metrics
