Job summary
Radiologic technologists are responsible for preparing patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process of scans and positioning them correctly to capture images.
- The technologist operates equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs and tissue.
- They understand and complete necessary requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner and schedule all exams accurately.
- Radiologic technologists perform diagnostic radiographic/fluoroscopic/CT exams on patients both in the department and with portable equipment.
