    Job Responsibilities:
    The responsibilities of the project manager department manager position include but are not limited to the following:
    Strategic Planning and Leadership
    Develop and implement a strategic plan for the project management department, aligning with broader organizational goals.
    Lead, motivate and manage the project management team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
    Project Execution and Oversight

    Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

    Implement and refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
    Monitor project progress, resolving issues and adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.

    This entails a current and thorough knowledge of door and hardware product applications in addition to current knowledge of commercial building codes and requirements.

    Research and determine solutions to problems regarding incorrect materials, warranty work, shortages, timeline limitations, installation errors and more.
    Team Management and Development

    Manage the recruitment, training, and development of project managers and project detailers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

    Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members to support their professional growth.


    Basic Qualifications:
    High school diploma

    Bachelors Degree preferred
    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of project management within the commercial construction industry (ideally)
    Demonstrated leadership experience coaching /managing a team of no less than 5 people.
    Experience in door, hardware, and specialty divisions (Division 8, Division 10)
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
    Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
    Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
    Understanding of how to position products against competitors.

    Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
    Detailing Software (PRO-TECH, EPWS or similar)
    Bluebeam
    ERP software (cERP, NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar)
