Description

Summary A Network Engineer with flexible skill sets who enjoys learning new technologies as part of a cyber range team.

Responsible for day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and upkeep of hardware and software systems.

The Networking specialty will focus on networking concepts such as Layer 1 and Layer 3 networks, interconnectivity, and storage area network (SAN) operation.

Specific networking experience with BGP or OSPF routing is required.

Linux, Juniper, or VyOS.If you have solid network engineering experience, Linux chops, and a Secret or higher clearance, you should apply.

Position Description The primary role is network configuration and maintenance. Linux administration is a secondary responsibility. Supporting SANs is an additional duty. - Coordination with the various Event Staff members to schedule operations that do not intrude on other concurrent activities while meeting customer needs

Follow security procedures to maintain backups, logs, and checklists that verify system operation and confirm compliance with classification requirements
Regularly communicate range status, risks and recovery plans to management
Manage the networking aspects of the system, including connectivity between classified systems, with extra care to ensure that wiring and networking changes are documented and in compliance with accreditation standard Required Experience/Education/Skills
Network engineering to including BGP and/or OSPF protocols and configuration
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and 5+ years of related engineering experience with proven engineering leadership.
Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Willingness to travel to customer sites; approximately 10% travel.
Understanding and appropriate experience with hardware systems' configuration and installation (e.g., chassis install, rack mounting, RAM replacement, BIOS battery handling)
Working knowledge of hardware systems interconnectivity ports and protocols, including USB, ethernet cabling, fiber cabling, and similar systems
Familiarity with personal and distributed storage systems such as SAN, RAID, and virtual datastores Preferred Skills
Experience with VyOS, an opensource virtualized network tool.
Juniper experience
Experience with test ranges/facilities
