    Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities.

    Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.


    2nd shift Maintenance Tech scope of work:
    Tech's shift starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 11:30 PM Monday through Friday. Mechanic has two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch.

    Mechanic should report to Process Shop at 3:00 to get an update from the day shift mechanics for any rollover work that may need to be continued.

    Mechanic should locate each 1st shift Mechanic and discuss the day's events. Mechanic is responsible for scheduled Preventive maintenance task within the TPM tool. Mechanic is required to evaluate all new equipment and generate PM standard works into SharePoint location for standard works.

    Mechanic is responsible to keep all equipment running on the operations floor during shift and concentrate on preventative maintenance in between any repairs that must be made.

    Mechanic is responsible for any Facility related issues that occur during shift to include Fire and Security needs. Mechanic is responsible for doing weekly eye wash station inspections and any sanitizing fogging required in the building. Project work will be assigned as necessary to facilitate any business needs.

    What your background should look like:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude, related work experience, or any satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
    • Journeyman electrical license is a plus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the Essential Functions of this job.     • Remain in a stationary position while troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
    • Regularly move about to access different parts of the plant and when transporting parts, equipment and sections of conveyor weighing up to 40 pounds.
    • Move and position products when installing and repairing motors, gearboxes, and conveyors weighing up to 40 pounds.
    • Position products on pallets/carts and maneuver gearboxes and motors requiring up to 85 pounds of force.
    • Position oneself to access lower levels of equipment when repairing, trouble shooting, or installing parts.
    • Reach forward and overhead when accessing various areas of equipment.
    • Ascend/descend stairs/ladders to access and work atop conveyors, using scissor and boom lifts, and when trouble shooting and hanging conveyors.
    • Operate, position, and use a wide variety of hand tools and equipment, as well as a computer keyboard and mouse.
    • Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and can exchange detailed information.
    • Move about the manufacturing facility to observe and effectively communicate with team members and perform job duties.
    • Visually observe and interact with associates and equipment in the plant setting

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $43,360-$65,040 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
