    Our team at Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute-Sports Medicine (NHOI-Sports Medicine) offers comprehensive care and personalized services based entirely around the needs of athletes.

    As a center for orthopedics and sports medicine, our team takes care of your every need - from injury prevention to performance services and athletic training to orthopedic surgery.

    We provide services for athletes of all ages, including orthopedic and sports medicine care for children, across a wide range of specialties.

    Operates X-Ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce routine radiographs of designated portions of the human body.


    • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
    • Instructs patients regarding procedures.
    • Examines radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
    • Develops and processes radiologic film. Delivers film to requester for reading/interpretation.
    • Maintains x-ray exam room. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies.
    • Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures.
    • Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log
    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED


    • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Certified in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED


    • Prior experience in diagnostic radiology.
