Instructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the on-going development of curriculum that meets the needs of students and employers utilizing instructional strategies that promote student success.,+
- Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support student engagement.
- Create learning experiences that integrate instructional technologies to maximize student success multiple delivery methodologies such as hybrid in-person virtual online course delivery.
- Bachelor degree related field Based experience expertise associate degree equivalent willingness obtain bachelor degree within timeframe may considered AND Minimum four years occupational experience field program programs taught which least one year last five years One year related occupational experience waived two years post−secondary teaching experience
appropriate occupational field last five years Recent new−model broad−based automotive repair preferred comprehensive programs manufacturer-based partnership programs Teaching training desirable Ability plan organize instruct facilitate quality education programs including development relevant curriculum Upon hire maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements licensure required agencies maintain individual program accreditation if applicable Licenses Certifications Other Requirements Upon hire ASE Master Certification A1-A8 applicable Advanced Level ASE Certifications L1 etc. required per teaching assignment three years If Master Certification not present time hire candidate must have applicable ASE A1-A8 certification appropriate teaching assignment within days start Air Conditioning Certification MACS or equivalent federal certification required one year Manufacturer training requirements assigned program Proficiency utilizing learning management system Strong verbal communication skills Adapt quickly changing demands assignments circumstances meet student needs Communicate effectively professionally various audiences Engage continuous improvement quality instruction embracing innovative methodologies techniques delivery methods Prior background check criminal record history conducted Information background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will considered determining applicant suitability competence perform position In evaluating candidates this position Fox Valley Technical College consider combination education training experience provides necessary knowledge skills abilities perform duties this position.
