    SUMMARYPerforms a variety of material handling operations within two of the functional areas of Inventory Control (e.g. Receiving, Shipping, and Stockroom). Trains and mentors other Material Handlers.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSpecialize in one functional area of Inventory Control and perform all of the requirements of that area.

    Perform some of the requirements in another function area to allow for flexibility in the department.

    The duties and responsibilities in Receiving include:
    Unload material from delivery trucks, remove the packaging and verify that the part matches the packing slipEnter receipts into SAPDeliver material to a variety of work areas on the production floorComplete appropriate paperworkReceive material into the return material authorization area (RMA)

    The duties and responsibilities in the Stockroom include:

    Put away, replenish, return and count materialEnter and/or scan material movements in SAPReview SAP transactions and other documentation to verify that the physical location and the SAP location for material match Maintain first in first out (FIFO) part bin managementBuild "exact issue" material kits in accordance with pull lists and visual indicatorsFulfill part requests from the Part Request Database including requests for packaging, components and other stock items Execute part to part transfer requests, re-label the material as required and make the required transactions in SAPSupport the disposition of nonconforming material including executing purges as requiredThe duties and responsibilities in Shipping include:Pull material from various manufacturing locationsPrepare material for shipment and load it onto carrier trucksExecute a variety of shipments in SAP including domestic and international shipments, sales orders, on-line shippers, OSP (outside processing) and RTV (return-to-vendor)Review SAP transactions and other documentation to verify that the physical location and the SAP location for material match Complete and verify shipment documentation, such as (e.g.

    delivery documents, ship requests, return to vendor documents, receiving documents, packing slips, bills of lading, and labels) is correct to ensure product is delivered accurately and on timeActively and effectively participate in team activities and continuous improvement projects.

    Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rulesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalentExperience in a material handling position at Jabil or equivalent external experienceBasic reading, writing and math skillsSome PC and Microsoft application experienceMust be able to use a variety of tools and operate equipment including box cutters, scanners, and pallet jacksMust be capable of achieving and maintaining a fork lift driver certificationAbility to work under tight time deadlines with frequently changing prioritiesProficiency in one of the three functional areas of Inventory ControlPHYSICAL DEMANDSIndividual may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.

    Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. required. Use of computer keyboard and other standard office equipment is required.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor and written and printed materials on a daily basis.

    WORK ENVIRONMENTEmployee's primary workstation is located in a production area, where the noise level is moderate. Exposure to dirt or dust is moderate. Temperatures may range from cold to hot at various times throughout the year.
