Job description
A healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy services at a major medical center.
This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists interested in transitioning into a permanent role within a reputable county health system.
Candidates with Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) residency training or approximately two years of recent inpatient experience are especially encouraged to apply.
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication management and patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in medication use evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
Licensed Pharmacist with current registration.
Preferably completed PGY-1 residency or possess around two years of relevant inpatient clinical experience.
Strong clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts primarily covering first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts.
Location:
Based in Santa Ana, CA, with assignments at a large health system facility.
Schedule
Eight-hour shifts with flexibility required to cover multiple shift timings.
Additional Information
This position implements a contract-to-hire hiring model due to an extensive permanent hiring process.
Candidates must complete and pass a competency exam and background checks before starting.
The temporary period may last from four to twelve months, with the ultimate goal of securing a permanent role offering competitive salary, excellent benefits, union membership, and pension opportunities.
