    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse, NY. As part of our growing railroad practice, you will work on projects from conception through final design and construction, with opportunities to learn and grow throughout your career.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with internal and external staff to deliver high-quality results.
    • Motivate and mentor junior staff to drive success.
    • Develop strong written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
    • Manage smaller projects or assigned tasks as part of a larger overall project.
    • Work with the team to manage client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
    • Stay proactive and continually challenge yourself to expand your knowledge base.
    • Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field; Master's degree in a related field a plus.
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
    • 10+ years of experience in railroad-related design and construction.
    • Experience with preparation of contract documents from bidding to award.
    • Proficiency in AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering and Bentley MicroStation/InRoads, AutoDesk AutoCad/Civil 3D, and/or OpenRoads.
