    WHAT YOU GET TO DO
    Customer communication / Clarification of details
    Creating interface document
    Create specification sheet
    Create internal documents for project-executing departments
    Create test plans (factory tests, internal and customer-specific acceptance tests)
    Factory acceptance testing and internal testing
    Create development requests
    Convocation and participation in planning meetings (with mechanical engineer, hardware engineer, electrics engineer)
    Support of project-implementing departments (Planning, Development, Commissioning, etc.)
    Continuous updating of customer specific SW-documents during order execution. Integration of change requests.
    Check the layout for the feasibility of the software processes
    Support Project Management
    Indication of any deviations from the original scope of supply
    Coordinate customer projects with software suppliers
    Support new employees
    Improve planning documents

    WHAT YOU HAVE
    B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, related discipline, or equivalent work experience (required)
    2+ years of intralogistics automation software and process design experience (required)
    5+ years of warehouse operation and automation experience (preferred)
    Excellent knowledge of intralogistics, automated storage systems and understanding of complex processes
    Strong knowledge of intralogistics/automation software architecture (WMS, WCS, SRC), interface communication, programming, databases, and data structures
    Strong knowledge of inventory strategies commonly deployed in the process of warehousing
    Sound understanding of system components of KNAPP-Group (Function, software, hardware)
    Sound understanding of complex processes in the workflow of our customers
    Sound understanding for integration possibilities of the KNAPP system into customer environment
    Ability to plan and hold meetings (with planning team and with customers)
    Knowledge of picking technologies such as automated storage systems, goods-to-person, voice, PTL, A-frames, unit sorters and different methods of deployment of each technology
    Computer skills (MS Office, KNAPP-internal tools)
    Language skills (English mandatory, another language beneficial)
    Working Conditions and Environment

    :

    Authorization to work in the U.S.
    Passport or ability to obtain passport
    Professional office etiquette is required at all times
    Overtime as required by work.
    Travel is required (ca. 30%)
    Ability to travel by air both domestically (US) and internationally (primarily Austria and other parts of Europe as well as Canada)
    Physical requirements:

    sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm's length, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
