    Insight Global is currently hiring for an Anthropometric and Human Factors Engineer to support a top research group in Redmond WA.

    This role will support anthropometric data collection and in-person user testing for research on textiles.

    This role will be expected to complete large scale data collection, and from there perform analysis on those data sets as well as communicate them to a broader interdisciplinary team.

    This role will own the process from beginning to end of the workflow, including being responsible for key equipment associated with the process.

    Training will be available on the specific machinery in the lab, but the ideal candidate will have prior 3D/4D scanning experience that will be easily transferable.

    Required Skills & Experience


    • M.S. or Ph.
    D. or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Textile Engineering or similar


    • Experience working with Artec Scanning system, 3DMD scanning (training will be available)
    • Demonstrated ability to process 3D scanning information into meaningful research findings
    • Experience with mechanical characterization, such as bi/uni-axial testing using Instron or similar
    Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and communicate large data sets to multidisciplinary teams

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience


    • 1+ years Experience with virtual fit simulation, using Clo3D, Optitex, or equivalent
    * 3+ years experience with mechanical modeling of soft material systems (nonwovens and foams also acceptable)

    * 3+ years working in a research laboratory on projects related to functionalized textiles

    Familiarity with 3D knitting, or machine knitting
