    Description

    Job Summary:

    The Quality Manager is a critical member of the EP2 leadership team...responsible for leading and growing a culture of quality and performance excellence every day This is an exciting role...providing daily leadership for the continued development, execution and improvement of company quality systems, processes, procedures and instructions.

    This person will lead all QA and QC functions, ensure all products meet customer specifications and direct the plant's Business Management System (ISO compliance programs, documentation programs, and internal audit process).

    This position will establish quality priorities and objectives while executing Quality Assurance strategies and tactical plans. This person will ensure ongoing compliance with all corporate guidelines, regulatory and customer requirements.


    Managerial Responsibilities:

    Reports:
    QA Manager, BMS Manager, Testing Supervisor, QC SupervisorMeets department strategic and tactical goals and manages all key department metricsOversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department (maintain all schedules)

    Develops staffing plans and oversees hiring, training and performance management of teamGrows team capability through training, development, certificationsFocus on "best in industry" results and continual improvement Ongoing assessment and improvement of department tools, software and equipmentDuties/Responsibilities:
    Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality and function before shippingIdentifies and sets appropriate quality standards for processes and productsCommunicates quality standards to QA team, Project Managers, production and other appropriate staffCoordinates product inspection and testing processesAssists Project Managers with technical and other project related questionsIdentifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, and recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues if necessaryPerforms final Admin inspections and sign-off on the finished productDrives company towards ISO Certification through BMS implementationPerforms other duties as assigned RequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent leadership skills with a strong quality and business presenceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesExcellent electrical testing and troubleshooting skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent supervisory and leadership skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEducation and Experience:BS Degree in Engineering or Technical Field preferred; MBA or Masters a plus5+ years of relevant experience, skills and knowledgeRelevant certifications or training preferred (i.e., ASQ)

    Experience implementing ISO compliant systems, policies and proceduresPhysical Requirements:

    Continuous speaking, hearing, and visual effort including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusFrequent standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and handlingCommonly lifting/moving of up to 40 lbs.

    individuallyOccasionally lifting/moving lbs. with assistanceExposure to loud noises, drilling, cutting, banging, and typical manufacturing production physical hazardsProlonged periods of walking and standingAbility to climb a ladder
