- Conduct ongoing borrower relationship development and maintenance, including on-site visits and regular communication with senior management to understand their current performance and future needs.
- Assist Commercial and Corporate Bankers in identifying potential ABL customers within the Synovus system.
- Collaborate with Bankers and ABL senior management throughout the deal process, ensuring compliance with all requirements and establishing strong relationships with borrowers.
- Review and assess monthly financial and collateral performance, including analyzing financial statements, collateral trends, and borrower compliance with covenants.
- Take charge of the ABL relationship after loan closure, handling advance requests, monitoring borrower performance, and recommending necessary changes.
- Develop a deep understanding of borrower performance to proactively address any emerging issues or needs.
- Maintain credit quality by closely monitoring and managing the assigned portfolio, recommending strategies to address weaknesses or changes in borrower performance.
- Be vigilant about risks within your role, adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations while reporting any violations promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Director, Asset Based Lending.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of lending experience, with at least five (5) years as an Asset Based Lender.
- Advanced knowledge of ABL loan regulations and lending systems.
- Strong credit and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex borrower requests.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Proven management and customer service skills.
- Exceptional organizational and attention to detail abilities.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with STUCKY ABL system and experience with problem loans.

Position Overview: As a Senior Asset Based Lender at Synovus, you will be in charge of managing the documentation and closure of Asset Based Loans for qualified bank clients. Your main responsibility will be handling a portfolio of ABL relationships while ensuring strict adherence to bank policies and procedures. Managing ABL loans is critical as they can pose a higher risk to the bank if not monitored effectively.
