The Project Manager ("PM") will apply project management principles to renewable energy and transmission projects from late stage development through design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project turnover.
The PM will coordinate & consult with in-house departments such as development, engineering, asset management, accounting, and finance, and outside parties such as lenders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and permitting authorities.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
PM responsibilities shall include:
Supporting formation of work scope definition and project execution plans
Formation and routine updating of project documents
Project schedules
Estimates & project cash flow
Work breakdown structure
Risk register & mitigation planning
Internal & external stakeholder reporting
Vendor & contract management
Manage and monitor project schedules and budget performance
Manage compliance with project permits and agreements
Independent work ethic/self-motivation and demonstrated leadership ability in a project management role overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
Manager company's on-site resources that provide day-to-day interaction and oversight of activities at the project sites
Periodic travel required to stakeholder offices and project sites, with the ability to traverse uneven terrain
Other job duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated construction project management experience in project leadership roles
Experience leading multiple preconstruction and construction disciplines
Strong project management acumen
Ability to read and interpret contracts and engineering drawings
Scope development & change management
Project schedules and critical path management
Work breakdown structures
Project controls, cost reporting, forecasting, and change order management
Risk identification and management
Stakeholder engagement & reporting
Understanding of project permitting processes and project entitlements such as land use, easements & ROW's, etc.
Ability to work as part of a team and ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Primavera, and Google Earth.
