    Field Service Engineer - Manufacturing Industry



    Overview:


    LHH is partnering with a client who is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team in the manufacturing industry.

    As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for a wide range of manufacturing equipment at customer sites.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.


    Responsibilities:

    On-Site Support: Provide on-site technical support and assistance for manufacturing equipment, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

    Customer Interaction: Interact directly with customers to understand their needs, address technical issues, and provide guidance on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.

    Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance activities, inspections, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

    4.


    Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in mechanical or electrical systems, control systems, and automation to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

    5.


    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, equipment logs, and documentation of customer interactions.

    6.


    Training: Conduct training sessions for customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to enhance their understanding and proficiency.

    7.


    Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, sales, and product development to communicate customer feedback, contribute to product improvement efforts, and ensure customer satisfaction.

    8.


    Travel: Travel to customer sites as required.


    Requirements:


    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
    • Proven experience (0-3+ years) in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, with expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and control systems used in manufacturing equipment.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and internal teams.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to travel frequently and work non-traditional hours as needed.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
    • Commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity, and customer satisfaction at all times.
