    Job Description

    The Engineering Design Drafter Intern is an integral part of the Raycap team located in Kearny, NJ. Using Autodesk Inventor, the intern completes 2-D and 3-D modeling and detailed fabrication design packages for the Electrical Control (Switchgear) industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work in a team environment to analyze customer requirements and develop design solutions.
    • Completes fabrication engineering drawings to ensure conformance standards.
    • Compares material sizes detailed on fabrication drawings to the product's availability & size parameters.
    • Participates in engineering review meetings (ERM)

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
    • Must have experience using solid modeling for 3D and 2D CAD with CAD software
    • Minimum of 1-year experience with Inventor/Autodesk software
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work to a schedule and achieve timelines.
    • Proficient with MS Office Products.

    This summer internship has the potential to transition into a full-time position for a suitable candidate.
