    Shift Lead – Miami, Florida

    The Shift Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our daily activities.
    As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the workflow, coordinating with team members, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
    Your leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve will be critical in achieving operational excellence.
    This is in the produce industry, working in a cold environment is required.

    Position responsibilities are not limited to the following list:

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve daily production targets and quality standards.
      Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to maximize their performance and productivity.
    • Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
      Allocate resources efficiently to meet operational requirements and minimize downtime.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure accuracy and quality in all warehouse activities.
      Implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations from established procedures.
    • Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and reconciliation.
      Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a secure work environment.
      Conduct safety training sessions and inspections to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Serve as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, communicating operational updates, performance metrics, and any issues or concerns that may arise during the shift.
    • Identify and resolve operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize workflow efficiency.
    • Coordinate carriers estimated arrival to the warehouse to plan when orders need to be prepared and ready.
    • Perform when need quality control inspections of inbound containers and all written inspections together with pictures are given to the Shipping/Receiving Department for handling.
    • Keep storage areas organized and manage floor space for best and safe use, maintain warehouse supplies inventory available for use.
    • Keep equipment operating optimally by enforcing operating instructions.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • Associate degree or higher education required; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
    • Proven experience in warehouse operations and in a leadership or supervisory role.
    • Bilingual English/ Spanish required.
    • Forklift experience.
    • Ability to work in a cold environment.
    • Prior experience in produce or perishables preferred.
    • Training in food safety desired.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve goals.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in a warehouse environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, and weekends as needed.

    The main schedule for this position is 2pm to 11pm, flexibility depending on business needs is required.

    Hourly and Benefits: This role pays $21-$22 an hour.
