POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, perform routine microbial testing, assist in maintaining equipment and

calibration, prepare medias and microbial cultures, and ensure the lab remains operational. The Lab

Technician will be required to work with potentially hazardous materials and/or disease-causing

organisms and is expected to follow all laboratory safety guidelines.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine microbial testing (as needed), record all test data, analyze results, generate reports,

and share findings with test requestor.

• Prepare microbial medias.

• Make microbial cultures.

• Maintain, stock, and order lab supplies.

• Maintain lab equipment and instrumentation in good working condition.

• Work with Associate Scientists to keep equipment calibrations up to date.

• Sustain lab cleanliness and organization.

• Complete time sheets for supervisor in a timely manner.

• Record important laboratory information, findings, and data in a laboratory notebook

• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex's Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules,

procedures, and standard housekeeping.

• Complete all training in a timely manner to remain in compliance.
