- Extensive travel to provide FSE backfill for sites both CONUS and OCONUS as will as shipboard deployments
- Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of difficulties experienced in the field
- Attend debriefings, to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that require company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime
- Document all unusual operational / maintenance problems to ensure the company is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trends
- Initiate Action Requests (ARs)
- Provide training to customer personnel
- Must be able to work and interact with the maintainer as well as the professional engineers from other F-35 companies as a peer
- Applicants must be able to work and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a team environment
- Provide support for the assigned site on aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitations
- Candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to the Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), and hazardous duty locations

- 4 years experience on 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft (F-22 or F-35) with experience troubleshooting APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) and/or Avionics
- Must possess demonstrated experience with fault isolation and problem analysis at the subsystem level
- Final Transferable Secret Security Clearance
- Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience highly desired
- Experience with Avionics/Mission Systems (MS)
- Experience communicating to Military leadership teams and Senior Leaders
- Technical report writing skills
- Experience with technical drawings/schematics reading and interpretation
- Experience with engineering tools to include, but not limited to FSE Vision/VAST, PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE
- Experience partnering with military operational units

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a member of the F-35 Field Service Engineer (FSE) at our Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada location to serve as the technical interface to the on-site customer (Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance or modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft
The preferred candidate will be an F-22/F-35 Air Vehicle/Mission Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME)
As a Nose to Tail (NTT) FSE, The preferred candidate will be a subject Matter Expert (SME) in APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) or in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS)
It is desired the individual also be an emerging authority in Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures, with the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of MS, VS, or SLO
Responsibilities include:
Provide on-site assistance to company and customer personnel initiating ARs
US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required
Must be a US Citizen
This position is located at a facility that will require special access
