    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    Produces and reviews daily reports for operational review,

    efficiencies,

    and other data; provides reports and information to manager and other designated personnel as required.
    Manages and ensures assigned key performance indicators are met, including picking packing, stocking, shipping customer orders and transportation activities.
    Develops/updates standard operating procedures (SOP's) and standard work instructions for all department activities.
    Works with other supervisors to solve common issues while developing working teams across all shifts. Recommends measures to improve distribution methods, equipment performance, and quality.
    Ensures that policies and procedures for safety and quality are followed and enforced.
    Actively participates in root cause analysis and other plant continuous improvement initiatives. Recommends continuous improvement ideas.
    Supports positive employee relations, fair

    treatment,


    and respect in all aspects of interaction with employees; address employee concerns/requests in a timely and caring manner; insures all employees and ideas are respected and valued and their unique and diverse perspectives are leveraged to improve business results.

    Actively engages in the performance of his/her team through setting objectives and measuring performance, with guidance and coaching from manager.

    Actively participates

    in on-site meetings

    i.e.,

    Huddles, monthly communication meetings

    etc.

    Fulfillment (Picking and Packing) & Stocking:
    Oversees and monitors day-to-day operation of assigned area(s) including

    workflow , management of work in process, job assignments, rotations, etc. to insure smooth flow and efficient operations. Ensures the shift completes customer orders and distribution of workload among LTL and parcel orders.

    Ensures timely and efficient processing of orders and determines shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipment schedules.

    Directs movement of shipments from packing area to shipping docks. Ensures that proper instructions are given for shipping and packing.

    Directs movement of orders from warehouse shelves, through order picking, verifying, and packing from the packing area to shipping docks.

    Obtains and evaluates complaints related to order picking and

    packing and

    discusses them with subordinate responsible for the error.

    Transportation/ Shipping:
    Studies customer shipment

    profiles to ensure timely and efficient shipment requirements are being met both physically and systematically.

    Ensure order fulfillment is processing of orders per the customer guidelines, determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet the shipping schedules.

    Oversees the dock area and its personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments and to meet goals for customer service levels.

    Ensure al

    orders have the proper documentation prior going to the shipping dock; design and develop the proper staging areas for the dock to ensure the different order types

    has the

    proper staging needed. Compile and maintains records of orders processed by the Traffic

    department.
    Assure daily compliance to the ship schedule. Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments. Contacts carriers, sales reps, vendors, brokers, freight forwarders, etc. when needed. Participates in request for price competitive freight contracts. Approves all freight bills. Ensures that all customer specific requirements are met. Supervises the creation and maintenance of all shipping related documents. Helps guide other personnel in other departments to manage and analyze freight correctly.
    Responsible for all drivers utilizing company's internal trucks for deliveries and pickups.
    Resolves errors and customer complaints and ensures corrective measures are put into place.

    Analyzes and documents systems process flow and recommends and develops better solutions to achieve process improvement, increased labor efficiency and expense reduction.

    Develops written procedures to document processes and to assist in training.

    SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT
    Supports a culture of safe production and exhibits safe work practices. Actively participates in the safety program by engaging in safety activities. Effectively provides and accepts constructive peer-to-peer feedback on safety performance. Adheres to policies, procedures, SOP's, safe work practices, and safety policies and procedures (SPP).

    Reports ALL workplace incidents to manager immediately.

    Communicates concerns to manager, reports hazards, and provides input on prevention. Properly uses, wears, and stores Personal Protective Equipment when required. Participates on safety teams and/or completes safety-related activities as part of regular job responsibilities. Responsible for safe work performance in area. Ensures the completion of job safety analyses, safety inspections and employee training. Acts as primary communicator of safe work practices and information to department. Facilitates employees' participation in the safety activity card program and on safety teams. Completes incident investigation reports and submits them to manager by end of shift on which the incident is reported. Conducts safety contacts and documents corrective and preventative actions. Enforces company policies, procedures, SOP's, SPP's and safe work practices.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Supervises employees in the Order Fulfillment Warehouse on the shift. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of department utility personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    and/or EXPERIENCE
    Associate

    degree OR at least three years related experience in operations or GMP warehouse required or equivalent combination of education and experience
    Prior lead experience and/or supervisory experience in an operations environment required
    Experience in picking, packing, shipping in a GMP environment required
    Experience in lean operations including 5s and lean practices helpful
    Intermediate Word and Excel skills required
    Two

    years' experience

    of transportation related experience preferred

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Spanish language skills are desirable.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and metric or volume to weight conversions.

    Effectively coordinates and leads team in daily activities to meet key performance indicators set by manager, with strong emphasis on employees, safety, food safety and quality.

    Displays real time critical decision making with available information. Reviews current KPI's to ensure right metrics are being monitored with the right results being delivered. Monitors specific performance and makes proactive decisions on staffing needs to ensure KPI metrics are met. Drives
