    Description
    Growing Manufacturing Co near Pittsburgh (30 mins north of downtown), PA has a need for a Mechancial Engineer

    Travel required to company locations within US. Overnight stays estimated to be 30% to 50% of time.

    Occasional International travel may be required

    Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred (Civil, Electrical or Industrial to be considered dependent on relevant experience)
    Must have 2+ years of experience in relevant industrial design.
    Must be able to demonstrate project management experience on complex projects
    Strong written and oral communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
    Ability to work independently or to participate on and lead cross functional teams
    Strong analytical skills to access situations and drive decision making.
    Solid skills in manufacturing process and a general business understanding.
    Knowledge of project management principles including proficient use of tools and software such as MS Project or other systems.
    Experience working in a global cross-functional project environment.


    Responsibilities:
    Interface with vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and assist with preparation of procurement documents.
    Preparation of engineering project proposals.
    Check vendor drawings to insure design accuracy and compliance with specifications
    Develop, evaluate, implement and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of wood products
    Assess the availability of materials and their safety and environmental impact on a facility
    Responsible for new product concept, product development, pilot plant tests on new products, cost reduction formulation and reverse engineering.
    Support the conversion of small-scale processes into commercially viable large-scale operations
