- Hands-on management of the pastry program to ensure top-quality production
- Collaboration on menus, ideas, and recipes with the team and owners to stay updated with current trends
- Handling administrative tasks for a smooth workplace: placing orders, managing invoices, controlling inventory, setting production schedules, organizing team schedules, etc.
- Supervising the team, which includes recruitment, training, development, and fostering positive employee relations
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen at all times
- 3+ years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume artisan bread-based business or similar setting with extensive experience in high-quality production
- Proven expertise in viennoiserie
- Thorough understanding of baking ingredients and techniques
- Creative mindset and enjoys collaborating within a team environment
- Experience in creating employee schedules, production schedules, etc.
- Leadership skills focused on respect to uphold a positive and motivating work atmosphere
- Effective time management abilities to meet delivery schedules and minimize waste
- Availability for a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Competitive Base Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
