Assistant Medical Director, Anesthesia ServicesCarilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking an experienced physician leader to assist with managing its anesthesia services. The Assistant Medical Director of Anesthesia Services will oversee the services of all credentialed anesthesiologists and CRNAs. This is a hybrid position with Carilion Clinic and Anesthesia Consultants of Virginia.
The Assistant Medical Director will initially be part time with Carilion Clinic with an increase in hours in the future.
Responsibilities include ensuring efficient, safe, and accessible quality anesthesia services while assuring compliance and accreditation, and utilization review.Carilion Clinic is a not-for-profit health system serving nearly one million people in southwestern Virginia through hospitals, outpatient specialty centers and advanced primary care practices.
Carilion Clinic consists of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed academic tertiary referral medical center with a busy Level 1 Trauma Center.
The emergency department at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is one of the busiest in the State of Virginia, with over 80,000 visits annually.
Nearly 45,000 surgical cases are performed annually in our 38 ORs and 9 endoscopy suites.Carilion Clinic is a physician-led, collaborative, interdisciplinary Integrated Healthcare Delivery System with a common philosophy of patient first.
