    Our client is looking to recruit a Project Manager for their Structural Division. This position is headquartered at Ruhlin's corporate headquarters in Sharon Center, Ohio (Medina County). This post reports to the Structural Division Manager. The ideal applicant will have previous train experience (recommended but not needed).

    Position Summary: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all project resources (people, equipment, supplies, and subcontractors) to ensure project success. Lead project teams through the construction process, ensuring that project quality, scheduling, cost management, safety, and customer satisfaction objectives are fulfilled. Is the main point of contact for the owners.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Safety

    • Collaborate with the Safety Director to ensure that jobs provide safe working conditions and that safe work practices are implemented.
    • Assigned projects outperform set safety goals.
    • Conduct monthly project safety checks.

    Quality

    • Monitor and ensure quality control.

    Schedule

    • Create a baseline project schedule with support from the Superintendent and/or Scheduler.
    • Examine project ideas and plans to identify the project timeline, processes for completion, personnel needs, and allocation of available resources to different phases of the project.
    • Maintain and update the project schedule throughout the course of the project.

    Cost

    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations or Division Manager to staff the project.
    • Manage minority participation goals (EEO, DBE, etc.) and ensure they are met; hold superintendents responsible for recruiting practices.
    • Manage contract finances; do task margin analysis on a regular basis.
    • Assist Superintendent in resolving conflicts and managing subcontractors and personnel.
    • Review progress reports created by project workers; revise schedules or plans as needed; and write project reports for Company management, owners, or others.
    • Manage the scope of work and ensure a thorough grasp of the contract agreements, including general conditions, notification obligations, and the dispute resolution procedure.
    • Provide input and supervision for all pre-construction services, including purchase orders, subcontracts, schedules, work cost setup, and project pre-planning.
    • Manage claims by identifying and resolving possible claims from subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Direct and oversee project closure operations to guarantee their timely completion.
    • Participate in project coordination meetings.
    • Assist estimators in defining bid packages during the project buyout.
    • Encourage teamwork; coach Superintendents and Project Engineers; and ensure that everyone knows their position in the project.
    • Document best practices for future projects, and guarantee that the best building procedures are implemented.
    • Protect and promote the Company's interests; ensure that all pay for work completed is received.

    Owner Relationship

    • Develop and maintain strong connections with important owners and architects.
    • Check change orders for correctness.
    • Examine and act on contractor pay requests and invoices.

    General

    • Additional duties are completed as directed by supervisors.
    • Set safety, quality, schedule, cost, and owner-relationship objectives for given projects.
    • Promote skill development among allocated personnel through training and performance reviews.
    • Communicate and reinforce the company's vision, values, and goals to employees.
    • Ensure compliance with insurance, safety, labor relations, EEO, and tax standards.
    • Monitor and report on project cost and schedule performance; offer remedial measures as appropriate.
    Essential Skills and Experience:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and achieve outcomes via others.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a similar discipline.
    • Comprehensive understanding of building procedures, materials, costing, scheduling, and estimation.
    • Previous experience overseeing craft workers as a foreman or superintendent.
    • Ability to look ahead and plan for a one- to two-year period.
    • Excellent time management and organizing abilities.
    • A minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience in the construction business.
    • Capability to do many things simultaneously.
    • Problem analysis and resolution on both the strategic and functional levels.
    • Strong customer orientation.
    • Superb interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • A strong team player.

    • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS Heavy Job, estimating and scheduling software.
