We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Estimator. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a key role in assisting senior estimators in accurately estimating the costs associated with construction projects or manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, performing quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project expenses.

Responsibilities:

• Review Project Specifications: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements and scope.
• Perform Quantity Take-offs: Measure and quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction projects or manufacturing processes.
• Solicit Quotes: Reach out to suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information for materials, equipment, and services required for the project.
• Prepare Cost Estimates: Utilize estimating software and tools to compile and organize cost data, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses, to generate accurate project cost estimates.
• Assist in Bid Preparation: Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to prepare comprehensive bid proposals for potential projects.
• Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed records of all project estimates, including assumptions, qualifications, and any other relevant information.
• Support Project Teams: Provide ongoing support to project teams by assisting in value engineering exercises, cost analysis, and budget tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction and roofing processes.
• Previous experience in construction estimating or a related field is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong computer skills and experience with web-based applications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
