We are looking for a dynamic safety professional to join our team in providing occupational safety inspection and consultation services to our policyholders. This position will provide safety services to policyholders with more complex and difficult risk conditions to reduce employee injury potential. 3. Businesses with significant losses related to difficult-to-identify hazards and industrial operations with high-level sophistication.

    4. High-profile preferred brokers.

    5. Specialized services of lesser complexity such as industrial hygiene and ergonomics services (i.e. noise dosimetry and industrial ergonomic evaluations).

    6. Accounts that usually present unforeseen or unique difficulties.

We are seeking a driven, people oriented safety professional with the following qualifications and skills:

    • Two or more years' safety engineer or safety consultant experience in construction, electrical, or industrial work OR 3 years of professional construction, electrical, or industrial engineering experience.

    • Degree in Engineering or field directly related to Occupational Safety & Health (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis).

    • Construction safety expertise is an asset.

    • Skilled at assessing workplace injury/illness risk based on business operations to improve safety.

    • Adept at interpreting workplace safety regulations regarding workers compensation and occupational safety and health.

    • Ability to interpret charts, graphs, and mechanical relationships.

    • Proficient at public presentations, training employees, and employers.

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

    • Self-motivated and work with minimal direct supervision - Team player.

    • Effective written and oral communication. This includes strong report writing skills with a variety of report writing software.

    • Ability to document services effectively, using non-technical terms and vocabulary that will be clearly understood by policyholders.

    • Bi-lingual in Spanish is an asset.
