    Description


    We are looking for a Flexible, Human Resource Administrative Assistant to undertake a variety of Human Resource and administrative duties.

    The Human Resource Administrative Assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our Human Resource department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads and recruiting.

    Human Resource assistant skills we're looking for include excellent organizational skills, experience with Human Resource and Payroll software and strong communication skills.

    The ideal candidate for the human resources administrative assistant position should hold an Human Resource or Business-related degree and have some experience in our industry.

    Following our training sessions, you'll be able to assist Human Resource in the whole recruitment lifecycle (e.g. onboarding new hires and candidate sourcing) and other administrative tasks as assigned. Ultimately, you'll ensure our Human Resource department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employees.

    You will also spend a portion of each day assisting with other administrative tasks unrelated to Human Resource as assigned.

    Responsibilities
    • Assist with recruiting functions including but not limited to scheduling, organizing interviews, utilizing internet sources including job boards and the local, regional and state workforce development offices Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
    • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
    • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
    • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
    • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
    • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
    • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
    • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
    • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Skills
    • Excellent time management and verbal, written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
    • Associate's degree in related field preferred.
    • Prior related office experience preferred.
    • Three years combined general HR and administrative support experience.
