    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our faith-based organization's, Shepherd's Flock. As a Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. You will have the opportunity to integrate your teaching skills with the values and principles of our faith-based organization, providing children with a well-rounded educational experience.

    Shepherd's Flock Intergenerational Child Care Center was established in 1997. The center provides professional childcare and developmentally appropriate education in a faith-filled environment. Teacher-child relationships are geared to provide an atmosphere of love and understanding while emphasizing the welfare and personality development of each child and their family.

    Shift: 3 PM - 6 PM

    Responsibilities

    • Create a Professional Development plan and attend twenty (20) clock hours of in-service training per year to meet that plan.
    • Apply for Credentials through INCCRRA and complete necessary training and education to complete credentials and then continue trainings to maintain them.
    • Communicate daily with parents.
    • Prepare and instruct developmentally appropriate lessons plans that meet the learning standards and provide modifications to meet the individual needs of every child.
    • Implement educational experiences that promote growth spiritually, cognitively, emotionally, socially and physically and are developmentally appropriate.

    365 Program:

    Lutheran Life Communities has a unique program called "365" which focuses on the integration of new team members to develop them into their roles and communities.

    Requirements

    • At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
    • Teacher experience is preferred.
    • Must meet all state (DCFS) qualification requirements for a licensed Child Care facility.
