- Start your day at the local office to receive your assignments for the day.
- Travel to the client's place of business or remotely diagnose & resolve IT issues. A company vehicle and phone is provided for work purposes.
- Tracking time worked to tickets.
- Replacement of PC's requiring full configuration into the client environment.
- Handling tickets, remote support, and various projects as assigned.
- Day-to-day support of Windows, Windows Server, hardware, applications, general networking, VoIP telephony, firewalls, network, and security audits.
- Strong understanding of time management and ability to reach out for help when needed.
- Respond quickly to problems and demonstrate skillful problem-solving. You may not know the answer to a technical problem, but you know how to find the answer promptly.
- Work with our team members to ensure that the highest levels of customer satisfaction and communication are always maintained.
- Additional compensation could be added for a consultant who is already very hands-on with VoIP/SIP or Copier services.
- As a Senior Consultant, you should also demonstrate an excellent work ethic which serves to elevate you and the team. You should have a mentoring mindset with less seasoned technicians.
- Empathetic communication understanding the needs of the client and keeping them informed throughout the scope of the work.
- Configuration, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software components including RAID Controllers, multi-vLAN managed switches, cloud and physical servers, Active Directory
- Record detailed documentation of client requests and resolutions for all work performed.
- Data evaluation, backup, and security
- Configuring, installation, maintenance, and diagnostics of LAN/WAN networks (such as: routers, smart switches, and firewalls). Occasionally pulling Cat5/6 cable.

· Must have at least 8 years of hands-on, real-world IT support or managed service experience with at least a majority portion of that with business customers.
· Current Certifications are a plus.
· Must be able to commute daily to our office in Hoover, Alabama. Valid Driver's License required.
· Great work ethic.
· Excellent communication, software support, and networking skills.
· Must be comfortable working independently.
