    The Senior Network Engineer is responsible with leading internal WhiteSky Network Engineering teams to ensure the network runs efficiently managing the workflow of service tickets along with implementing upgrades to the network and ISP.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Collaborate with Network Architects to design and implement network upgrades and capabilities
    Lead a team of Network Engineers who monitor, diagnoses and maintain the network
    Lead efforts to configure and Install Network Hardware and Software
    Monitor and trouble shoot network outages
    Provide Network Status Reports to Senior Leadership

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Expertise in Network Operating Systems
    Familiarity with coding languages
    Leadership and mentoring skills
    Understanding of communication and routing protocols
    Experience with Network Diagnostic tools
    Problem-Solving Skills
    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    With the Director or Engineering and Architect, Defines backbone and network strategy to ensure superior performance of the Whitesky Wi-Fi product
    SME on all things routing and switching, senior architect/mentor.
    Defines OAM standards, MOPs, and SOPs.
    Oversees and develops supporting engineering documents to ensure successful physical deployment of network hardware in colocation facilities
    Defines colocation ( PoP ), peering, transit, and cache/content policies for superior network performance
    Oversees the IPAM function and manages RPSL ( RADb /ARIN) databases to ensure efficient and secure use of those resources
    Coordinates with legal teams to manage telecom compliance and exposure.
    Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering
    7+ years Network Engineering Experience
    5+ years leading a Network Engineering Team
    Physical Demands and Working Conditions

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.

    The employee must have the ability to operate a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.

    May be required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    May be required to lift or move 10+ pounds
