    We have an opportunity for an established Quality Engineering professional. In this individual contributor role, you will drive individual and team success by owning and successfully executing on the objectives set for your area. You will influence process and planning decisions sharing knowledge and educating others on Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures. As an MRB engineer, your primary duties include anomaly investigation, technical solution development and coordination, and preparation and release of dispositions related to discrepancies on high performance avionics detail parts, assemblies, installations, and finishes.

    MRB engineering/Analyst candidate will be required to coordinate across a large number of functional areas including Quality Assurance, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Material Planning, Functional Test, Collateral and Systems engineering groups, Safety, and Process engineers.

    May be eligible for relocation.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities- reviewing, dispositioning, and resolving defects and nonconforming conditions in complex electrical, mechanical, and optical assemblies.
  • Documenting and determining if abnormalities are related to engineering issues and ensuring that cross functional team validates that corrections/rework will not negatively affect the functionality of systems.
  • Establish turnaround times, coordinate meetings, and lead initiatives to ensure timely disposition of MRB materials. Escalate as required.
  • Establish and publish pertinent Dashboards and analytical reports.
  • Work closely with the production floor and supply chain, support process improvements, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action.
  • Ensures compliance with existing MRB/Quality procedures and/or process control documentation, and train team members, as necessary.
  • Providing onsite technical support, including interpretation of Engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and other systems related documents .
  • Facilitate improvement initiatives/projects to improve quality related metrics.
  • Compile data and write analytical reports regarding existing or potential nonconformance studies or projects. Champion incorporating best practices into current and future application.
  • Utilizes PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans) to identify and make recommendations for managing risk in internal and supplied products.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party regulatory audits, review and implementation of engineering change orders, any specifics tasks from department manager.
  • Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 year of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  • Advanced MS Suite experience.
  • Tableau or Power BI experience
  • Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • AS9100 experience.
