    Description

    As the Outbound Supervisor at Bertelsmann, your primary objective will be to ensure the timely completion of orders, aligning with our commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

    Collaborating closely with control tower teams, you'll manage labor resources effectively while prioritizing orders with precision and ensuring quality meets customer requirements.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and manage the labor and equipment of the pick/pack/ship operation.
    • Ensure on-time completion and maintain quality of orders to meet customer requirements.
    • Work with control tower teams on labor management and priority of orders. You will oversee direct shipping, pick, and pack and traffic.
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of employees.
    • Manage receiving and transferring of materials.
    • Hire and ensure proper training of new employees for the picking, packing, and shipping departments.
    • Ensure proper procedures are adhered to and up-to-date for the control tower for current and new customers.
    • Monitor and manage employee performance (KPI's).
    • Document, update, and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed.
    • Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department.
    • Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor-specific shipping requirements.
    • Update and maintain relevant systems and reports.
    • Monitor and optimize picking, packing, and shipping functions on the floor.

    Your Profile

    • 3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent work experience.
    • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
      • 3 years in an SAP and/or WMS environment.
      • Experience with inventory research.
