The firm continues to focus upon the communications industry and has extensive experience with all of the latest technologies, including fiber optics as well as a comprehensive background in outside plant construction technologies, including directional boring.

    **Overview:**

    Applicants must be extremely well organized, have strong computer skills and be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. All applicants must be able to lift 80lbs on a regular basis. Previous fork lift experience is preferred. Valid driver's license required.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Assess material needs

    Create purchase orders

    Handle the shipping and receiving of materials

    Operate forklift to load/unload materials

    Issue materials to the work crews

    Resolve order discrepancies

    Deliver accurate and timely inventory reconciliation reports

    Reconcile inventory used versus inventory billed

    Ensure warehouse is well organized and meets company standards

    Provide support and documentation for audit requests

    Update and maintain inventory database compliant with company standards

    Use time sheets to mark engineering prints for specified jobs

    Compile closing packages for customer billing

    Take paper engineering prints and recreate them digitally utilizing software

    Assist supervisor with daily activities

    Special projects as assigned

    **Qualifications:**

    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred

    Six months to one year related experience and/or training

    Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Access

    Previous Solomon experience preferred

    Ability to operate forklift

    Valid Driver's license required

    **Physical Demands:**

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials through the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 80 pounds.

    The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and/or steel toed shoes. Primary environment: warehouse where hot/cold condition may exist.
