Curana Health has immediate openings for experienced Nurse Practitioners interested in the inpatient/outpatient setting providing palliative care.Our inpatient palliative care providers work directly with patients and their families on end of life matters and well as goals of care planning for the chronically ill
Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients; interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan
Functions independently to perform quality of life discussions with patients and their families
Works directly with care coordinator to ensure ancillary services are in place and timely
Collaborates with physician in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients
Individual must become proficient in exercising autonomy in medical decision making and providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services
Must hold a current Board Certification in a Nursing Specialty/Field.
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Nursing from accredited Colleges or Universities.
Experience in nursing is required, and some experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Provider is preferred, but not necessary, although demonstrated critical thinking skills are required.
Must possess knowledge of Nursing and clinical Nurse Practitioner critical thinking skills application to the aged, chronically ill, and convalescent resident.
